There is no experience like photographing a tiger at close range! They’re magnificent creatures and beautiful. In the wild, this would be rather difficult and expensive, but at my workshops we work with tigers that have been hand raised in front of a camera. You’ll be close enough to here her “talk” to her trainer and you’ll make a ton of great images for your wildlife photography portfolio!
Fun And Interesting Tiger Facts
- the largest members of the cat family
- capable of killing animals over twice its size
- no two have exactly the same stripes
- can reach a length of up to 11 feet (3.3 metres) and weigh as much as 660 lbs (300 kilograms)
- can see in the dark six times better than humans can
The collective noun for a group of tigers is an ambush, or a streak. For once I really don’t have a quarrel with either one of those collective nouns so carry on!
