Young Tiger Tiger Photo Safari

Best Tiger Photography Workshop in India

Tigers have been symbols of strength and ferocity for centuries, with little wonder they are magnificent animals. Join us on a 5-Star spectacular Tiger Safari in India’s famed Tiger Parks. We’ve been to all of the major “Tiger Parks” in India and have chosen the ones that we believe will be the most enjoyable and most productive. It was tough to eliminate Corbett National Park from this list. We decided to run a second workshop that can be done on its own as an extension for this Safari. On this Safari, we visit the two best National Parks for tiger sightings, Kanha and Bandhavgarh. On the second safari we visit Corbett, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and the Taj Mahal.

We are staying at the highest-rated lodges at each park. You can expect luxurious rooms and fine food. Unlike travel in Africa, there are not many airports which means we will have several long drives. Once again, we will be comfortable with our chauffeur-driven luxury vehicles.

My experience with India’s tiger safaris is that it is nothing like going on Safari in Africa. In Africa, it’s almost like a zoo with a considerable density of wildlife. Tigers are rare, and as such, we may not see them on every game drive, but once we do, you will understand why people are fascinated with the awe-inspiring Tiger. I saw tigers every day when I was last there.

If you enjoy big cat photography and have not yet gone for tigers, nows your chance! Join us in India, and you will purr over this cat-tastic photography workshop.

t’s a busy travel day today. We leave the hotel around 6 for a Flight to Raipur. From Raipur, we have about a 4-hour drive to Kanha National Park.

On arrival, check into the Lodge. After lunch, we go for a Safari in search of tigers and the wildlife of Kanha.

Our activities are basically the same each day.

Wake up at 0500hrs and tea, coffee with biscuits in your room, and then it’s time to proceed for the morning safari to the National Park.

We will stop for our packed breakfast, which comes from the Lodge is served at a designated spot and spread on the bonnet of the Safari vehicle. Nothing like breakfast in the wilderness of Kanha.

Continue your search for the elusive Tiger and soak in the lush and mesmerizing environment.

Return from Safari around 1130hrs. Freshen up, and lunch is served.

Depart for afternoon safari Kanha National Park. Return at 6pm from Safari.

Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

We will make time for image reviews to make sure all is going well with your photography.

Morning jeep safari to the National Park. After lunch, we drive to Bandhavgarh National Park. It is about a 6- hour drive. On arrival, check-in at the Lodge.

I could have added some fluff here, but I thought by now that would be too corny. So here is the cliff notes version of our time here.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at the Lodge. Morning and afternoon Jeep safari to the National Park.

Overnight at the Lodge

Morning Jeep safari in the park and after lunch drive about 4hrs to Jabalpur airport to board a flight to New Delhi at 1750 hrs.

Upon arrival in Dehli, we will check in to our hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will be driven to the International Airport to board your flight back home or onward destinations.

We will be staying in a “chic modern” boutique hotel in the 15th AR, With thousands of reviews above 4 stars, its quite nice and convenient to much of out photography. It’s only 20 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. On my last trip, I had no compalints. I like that it only has 40 rooms and old school service. Oh and an elevator!

They do offer airport pickups for a fee, book that directly.

Coming Soon!

Check back later, it’s way too soon to tell you what to expect.

I’ve been very passively advising my clients to purchase travel insurance for a while, but lately it seems like there have been multiple people having travel issues. Some have lost their deposits and sometimes even the cost of the entire trip!

Based on my client’s experience, I cannot stress more strongly how crucial it is to purchase travel insurance. Like I said before, and here it comes again, there is never a way to predict what is going to happen when you are booking trips months and years into the future.

You can read more about my thoughts about the importance of travel insurance in this blog post.

Kanha’s Sal and Bamboo forests, rolling grasslands, and meandering streams stretch over 365 sq m (940 sq km) in dramatic natural splendor. This park is the only habitat of the rare Hard Ground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi). This is the original Kipling country of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book.

The forests of the Banjar valley and Halon valley, respectively forming Kanha’s western and eastern halves. By statute in 1955, Kanha National Park came into being. Since then, multiple stringent conservation programs have been launched to protect the park’s fauna and flora. Kanha boasts about 38 species of mammals. Some of the inhabitants of this park are the gaur, the largest of the world’s cattle; the sambar, the largest Indian deer; and the Chausingha, the only four-horned antelope in the world. Other mammals include the Nilgai Antelope, the Sloth Bear, the Dhole (Indian Wild Dog), and an occasional Leopard. Approximately 300 species of birds inhabit the park. There are storks, egrets, ibis, raptors, owls.

Bandhavgarh National Park is mainly known for the density of its tiger population. This is the place where the famous White Tigers of Rewa were discovered. The other wild attractions in the park include Leopards, Blue Bulls, Indian Gaur (Bison), Chausingha (Four Horned Antelopes), Spotted Deers, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Sloth Bears Fox, Jackals, Wild Dogs, etc. There are at least 22 mammal species and about 250 bird species in the park.
