I’ve never had much success in finding the goats in Glacier National Park. Of course, I am a bit more than lazy and so I am really just doing some road photography and taking my chances, but this year I made a couple of images that I like. You know I love collective nouns and it seems that there are few Tribe and Trip being cited often. Of course, if I were in charge and really by now, I should be, I would call them a Cliff! Come of now, that’s perfect!
In case you were curious:
- They are more properly known as goat-antelopes
- They can jump nearly 12 feet (3.5 meters) in a single bound
- babies are basically born on their feet and ready to climb
See, a cliff of Mountain Goat applies perfectly!

Here are a few more.
You can see where I spotted these guys on this map of the park. I wish you luck in your search!
