The actual name of the area is the Tom McCall Preserve at Rowena and it is part of the Nature Conservancy. It is a great albeit a bit difficult hike thats roughly 4 miles (roundtrip) to McCall Point. The point has amazing panoramic views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams not to mention a whole bunch of wildflowers. The effort involved in the hike is well worth the effort. The way I see it is that if I can haul myself and all my gear up there, most of you can too!
