During my photography workshops I always make as much time as possible for image critiques. When I was learning about photography, I found these sessions to be super valuable. You learn a lot from an image critique, especially when it is your image and done by a professional.

This is the first in an ongoing series of image critique blog posts, so be sure to check back often. Feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts on the image as well.

Image Critique – Would you like a Critique?

As I said earlier, you should seek help from a professional photographer for quality critiques. Your friends and family just are not going to be able to give you what I like to call, teaching advice. Friends will tend to like everything and family will LOVE everything. An image critique from a professional will teach you how to get better images!

In general, you should look at the photographer’s portfolio and decide if you like their work. Then you can hire them to give you their opinion. I provide image critiques as a part of all of my wildlife, nature and creative digital photography workshops. You can learn more on my Wildlife Workshops website.

I am also available for hire to critique your images. Prices vary depending on how we arrange the time. We can do a simple email exchange, or a Skype call or it might even be possible in person depending on your location.
