The flood of baby animal images continues with these Coyote pups from this summer. I normally put my workshops later in the summer so that the cats are more photogenic…they are my fav. The downside of that is the canines are already independent and super fast making them very difficult to photograph. This year, I went early and took advantage of the dates to get some great Coyote images for my clients and me! Fun and or Interesting Facts about the Coyote
- usually 32 to 37 inches long and have between 20 and 50 pounds
- incredible sense of hearing, detecting sounds up to a mile away
- move silently by walking on the tips of their toes
- very good swimmers
- male coyote is a dogit or yote
- collective nouns: A group of Coyote is a band, a pack or a rout.
Well, I really don’t like any of those collective nouns very much. I think that song or wile would be much more appropriate. Thoughts?
