Oregon Wildflowers – Rowena Plateau

Oregon Wildflowers are in bloom and my first photography foray for wildflowers took me to a great place, the Rowena Plateau. The beautiful plateau provides stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge. This is a very easy hike and is bursting with things to photograph, but the wildflowers are the stars. I’m looking forward to my next trip catch the lupine in bloom! I think that I got these names right, but I am pretty much of a novice with flower identification. If I did make a mistake, I’d be grateful for the headsup!

About the Rowena Plateau

The trail is a very easy 2 mile out and back hike that has an elevation gain of less than 200 ft. It’s downhill going out and well, uphill coming back, but it’s a very easy meandering kind of hike. Dogs are not permitted and there are no facilities so plan your accordingly!

Oregon Wildflower Portfolio

I’ve taken a few photos of Oregon’s wildflowers since I made the move to the Pacific Northwest last year. You can browse that portfolio and check out my other wildflowers. You can also order prints and even license images for your personal usage. Check out my Oregon WildflowersHERE.
